Business of Joint Committee

Apologies have been received from Deputy Olivia Mitchell who is unable to attend. Members can see a new face to my left, Ms Sinead Quinn, the clerk of the Oireachtas Joint Committee on the Implementation of the Good Friday Agreement. She has replaced the clerk of this committee, Mr. Martin Groves, who is sick today. She will take his place for the afternoon.

The draft minutes of the meeting of 1 May 2013 have been circulated. Are they agreed? Agreed. Unless there are other matters arising from the minutes, we will proceed with the main business. We have a long agenda for the afternoon.

I remind members, witnesses and those in the Visitors Gallery to ensure that their mobile telephones are switched off completely for the duration of the meeting. Mobile telephones, even in silent mode, interfere with the sound recording equipment in committee rooms.
