Scrutiny of EU Legislative Proposals

The first proposal is from the Department of Education and Skills. COM (2011) 336 is a proposal for a regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council amending Regulation (EC) No. 1927/2006 establishing the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund. It is proposed that this does not warrant further scrutiny. Members should note that we will discuss this issue at a meeting in the new year. Is that agreed? Agreed.

The second proposal is COM (2011) 421, proposal for a decision of the European Parliament and of the Council on the mobilisation of the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund in accordance with point 28 of the inter-institutional agreement of 17 May 2006 between the European Parliament, the Council and the Commission on budgetary discipline and sound financial management. The application is from Denmark and the Department of Education and Skills is the lead Department. It is proposed that this does not warrant further scrutiny. Is that agreed? Agreed.

The final proposal is COM (2011) 664, proposal for a decision of the European Parliament and of the Council on the mobilisation of the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund in accordance with point 28 of the inter-institutional agreement of 17 May 2006 between the European Parliament, the Council and the Commission on budgetary discipline and sound financial management. This application is from Portugal and, again, the Department of Education and Skills is the lead Department. It is proposed that this does not warrant further scrutiny. Is that agreed? Agreed.
