JOINT COMMITTEE ON TRANSPORT debate -
Wednesday, 19 May 2010

Business of Committee

Is there any other business?

It was mentioned at our last meeting that a group of three families was anxious to attend the committee. The group came in and met some of us in the Dáil and I told them how PARC was making its proposals. The group agreed to submit its proposals and sent a copy of them to me today. The families are very keen to come in. I spoke to the Chairman and he had no problem with that.

The Vice Chairman has no problem either. It is a matter of agreeing a date.

Could we invite them in for an hour on 2 June?

Could the meeting be completed in half an hour?

It could be done in an hour, if we wished.

We are dealing with the Estimates on Wednesday morning and many of us will want to go to the Chamber for the Order of Business.

I do not think it can be done on 2 June.

As soon as possible.

These people have come to Dublin.

I propose a meeting on Wednesday, 16 June. We can give them a slot then. Is that agreed? Agreed.

The joint committee adjourned at 5.10 p.m. until 3.45 p.m. on Thursday, 3 June 2010.
