Prelude

Cromadh ar obair an lae ar 12.15 p.m.

(Minister without Portfolio), entered and announced that he had been authorised by the Governor-General to administer the Oath to the Members of Seanad Eireann.

The CLERK

read the following communication:—

"Vice Regal Lodge, Dublin.

"To EAMON DUGGAN, Esq., T.D.

"I hereby authorise and empower you to administer to each Member of Seanad Eireann the Oath prescribed by Article 17 of the Constitution of the Irish Free State, and to present the same to each Member for subscription.

"Given at Dublin, this 11th day of

December, 1922.
