Vol. 5 No. 9

SEANAD IN COMMITTEE. - LOCAL AUTHORITIES (COMBINED PURCHASING) BILL, 1925—MESSAGE FROM THE DÁIL.

AN CATHAOIRLEACH

We have a message from the Dáil in regard to the Local Authorities (Combined Purchasing) Bill, 1925. The message is to the effect that the Dáil has agreed to the amendments inserted in this House, Nos. 1 to 7, with the exception of No. 4, with which they disagreed. The amendment No. 4 with which they disagreed is not, I think, of very vital importance. It will be found on page 3 of the Bill. It simply provides that after the word "entry" in Section 6 the words "if necessary" should be inserted. I am not sure that the Senator who moved it was excitedly keen over it.

I will not go to the trouble of insisting.

AN CATHAOIRLEACH

I may take it that the Seanad agrees with the disagreement of the Dáil with our amendment No. 4?

Agreed.
