EXPIRING LAWS BILL, 1926—SECOND STAGE.

Motion made: "That the Bill be read a Second Time."

CATHAOIRLEACH

Senators will recollect that an explanation dealing with this Bill was circulated some weeks ago. I understand that there was no opposition in the other House. It is essential, though, that the Bill be passed before the Recess.

Motion put and agreed to.

I move:—

"That the Standing Orders be suspended for the purpose of enabling the remaining stages of the Expiring Laws Bill, 1926, to be taken to-day, Wednesday, 15th December, 1926."

Question put and agreed to.
The Seanad went into Committee.
Bill passed through Committee without amendment.
Bill ordered to be reported.
The Seanad went out of Committee.
Bill reported without amendment, received for final consideration and passed.
