Qualifications: Practical farmer; Historian; Archæologist; Peace Commissioner for County Wexford; Member of Committees of County Council, Agricultural and Co-Operative Societies.

Qualifications: Vice-Chairman, Dublin County Council (4 years); Member of Committee on Technical Education; Chairman, Libraries Committee, County Dublin; Chairman (acting), Scholarships Committee; Chairman, Irish Women's Citizens' Association; Chairman (acting), Tuberculosis Committee; Vice-Chairman, Meath Hospital, Dublin; Examiner under Intermediate Board for several years; Leader of Irish Delegation to Women's International Congress at Paris, 1926.
Nominator: Senator Henry L. Barniville.
Mrs. Julia Anne O'Donovan, 2 Garfield Terrace, Rathgar.
Qualifications: Active supporter of all national movements for many years; pioneer in co-operative marketing of dairy produce.
Nominator: Senator O. St. J. Gogarty.
The first poll was as follows: Miss Browne, 25; Mrs. Cosgrave, 19; Mrs. O'Donovan, 25.
The second poll was as follows:— Miss Browne, 26; Mrs. O'Donovan, 22.
Miss Browne was declared elected.
