Seanad Éireann debate -
Tuesday, 25 Jul 1933

Vol. 17 No. 8

Report Stage.

On the question of the Report Stage, I do not know whether the Seanad will be meeting to-morrow, but I promised on the Second Reading of the Bill that I would draw the attention of members of the Executive Council to various matters which had been raised affecting the administration of their Departments. I presume that if the Report Stage is taken to-morrow the Final Stage of the Bill will not be taken on the same day, because I should like to have the Ministers here in order to deal with these matters, if the members of the Seanad feel it desirable.

Cathaoirleach

Of course we could delay the Final Stage, but, as there have been no recommendations, ordinarily we would take the remaining stages to-morrow.

It was out of courtesy to the members of the Seanad that I raised it. I have no objection to taking the Report Stage to-morrow, if the Seanad desires to do so.

Report Stage to be taken to-morrow.
