I announced at the beginning of to-day's sitting that Senator Milroy had given me notice that he proposed to bring forward for discussion on the adjournment the appointment by the Executive Council, pursuant to Section 4 of the Land Law (Commission) Act, 1923, of Mr. Daniel J. Browne and Mr. Eamon Mansfield to be Commissioners of the Irish Land Commission.
I have now had an opportunity of looking further into this matter, and I have come to the conclusion that the subject is not a proper one for discussion on the motion for the adjournment. There is an appropriate way of dealing with it by notice, if it is desired to pursue the matter further.
