Seanad Éireann debate -
Wednesday, 15 May 1935

Vol. 19 No. 25

Public Business. - Irish Language and Public Services.

The motion which I have had on the Order Paper for some time has interested a number of Senators, and a couple of hours' discussion would probably be necessary to finish it. I think it is undesirable that it should again be postponed, and I suggest that, at the next meeting of the Seanad, it should be taken as first business so as to get it out of the way and avoid having it crushed out, as it has been a few times already, or, perhaps, allowed only half an hour.

I think that that request is very reasonable. If the House agrees, I shall direct that the motion be put down as first business for Wednesday.

Agreed.

Further consideration of motion postponed accordingly.

The Seanad adjourned at 7.30 p.m. until Wednesday, 22nd May, at 3 p.m.
