As the Standing Orders make no provision for the hour of adjournment, might I suggest that we fix "not later than 10.30 p.m. for the purposes of this day's sitting." The reason why I suggest that is that to-day's sitting may be a lengthy one for the reason that an arrangement has been made by which, under the first of the six Bills on the Order Paper down for discussion to-day, the Agreement generally may be discussed. The Minister in charge will, presumably, require some time to conclude, and it may very well be that the House cannot adjourn before 10.30 p.m.
Hour of Adjournment.
Mr. Hayes
Does the Senator mean the adjournment of the House or of the discussion?
Mr. Hayes
The adjournment of the House and of the discussion, if necessary, of course.
Agreed.
