Seanad Éireann debate -
Wednesday, 25 Jan 1939

Vol. 22 No. 9

Business of Seanad.

Before we take up to-day's business there is a matter upon which I would like to have guidance from the House. It would appear improbable that item No. 4, that is, the motion in the name of Senator MacDermot, and the amendments thereto, will be reached sufficiently early to-day and it has been suggested to me that it might be more satisfactory, and meet general convenience, if it were agreed that the debate on the motion might be taken as first business at to-morrow's sitting. I have been informed that that arrangement would meet the convenience of the Taoiseach, who will, I am given to understand, be present at the debate. I should be glad to have the views of members regarding the suggestion.

As far as I am concerned, I am quite agreeable to that suggestion.

Agreed.
