Vol. 24 No. 6

Death of a Gárda in Cork.

When speaking last night I intended to make some reference to the death of a Guard in Cork. I meant to say, as Minister for Justice, how deeply I regret what has occurred, and I wish to extend my sympathy, and the sympathy of the Department, to the relatives of the deceased Guard. I certainly hope, like a lot of other occurrences, that we will have no more of that.
