Vol. 26 No. 2

Question on Adjournment.

I have received notice from Senator Foran that on the motion for the adjournment of the House this evening he will direct attention to the disclosures made in evidence during the recent trial in the Central Criminal Court of the case of the Attorney-General versus Chapman and Town, regarding the operations of Messrs. L. and J. Jordan and Company, Limited, Ennis, and will ask the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether, in view of these disclosures and of the commendation by the presiding judge of the public-spirited conduct of an officer of the company, since dismissed, it is his intention to continue to the company the privileges extended to it by the State. I am accepting that notice. The matter will be taken on the conclusion of the business on the Order Paper.

Do I understand the Minister for Industry and Commerce will be present?

So I understand.
