Vol. 26 No. 14

Order of Business.

In regard to the business on the Order Paper, I am informed that the Minister for Education, who will be engaged on Estimates in the Dáil, will be unable to attend at any point in to-day's sitting. The Minister requests that, in the circumstances, motion No. 6 should be postponed until the next sitting day. I presume the House will be agreeable to that course.

Agreed.

With regard to business on to-day's Order Paper, item No. 8, in the name of Senator Douglas, is of a certain amount of immediate interest and urgency. Might I suggest that we should fix a time for taking it, to suit the Minister for Industry and Commerce; that is to say, that we should begin Senator The McGillycuddy of the Reeks' Motion, and No. 7, and adjourn that at, say, 7 o'clock for the purpose of taking No. 8, and then finish the motion later on, if that is agreeable to Senator The McGillycuddy.

I am agreeable.

Ordered accordingly.
