Vol. 29 No. 21

Business of Seanad.

Before entering on the business on the Order Paper can we have an idea of what business will be taken to-morrow? Is it the case that the Central Fund Bill, the Defence Forces (Temporary Provisions) Bill and the Military Service Pensions (Amendment) Bill will be dealt with to-day and the Customs (Amendment) Bill and the motions re income-tax to-morrow?

That is the expectation, Senator. It is understood that the Minister for Finance will be available to-morrow but not on Thursday. In the circumstances, it is proposed to take the business on the Order Paper, as Senator Hayes outlines.

There is a possibility of clearing the Order Paper this week.

I think we should meet on Thursday to finish the business on the Order Paper.

I take it that the Order of Business proposed is agreed to. It is quite possible that the Electricity (Supply) Bill may be reached to-morrow, but, if not, it will be taken on Thursday.
