Seanad Éireann debate -

Vol. 31 No. 10

Business of Seanad.

There was more or less agreement last night that we should get finished by seven o'clock. As things stand, that does not seem possible and it has been agreed by the different groups in the House that we should finish as nearly as possible to 6.45 p.m. Any amendments remaining to be dealt with at that time would be left over for the Report Stage and the Bill would be recommitted for the purpose of discussing those amendments.

And any sections which we may not have reached?

Lest there should be discussion next week on the matter, is it clear that we shall recommit the Bill in respect of the amendments and the sections not reached and that we shall deal first with that recommittal and, subsequently, with the Report Stage?

There was some confusion about that before.

Agreed to adopt the suggestion by Senator Quirke.
