It is with the greatest regret that I announce to the House the death last night of Senator John T. Keane.
Senator Keane had only been a comparatively brief period with us but, since he became a member, he had commended himself to us all by his pleasantness of manner and his sincerity. He had taken a prominent part in the National movement in his native county and had served that county well in his public activities. With the assent of the House, I shall convey to his widow and family the expression of our deep sympathy.
