Vol. 32 No. 10

Business of Seanad.

An Leas-Chathaoirleach

It may facilitate Senators' arrangements if I indicated to-day that I understand an arrangement has been come to in respect of the business of the House until the Recess. It is expected that the Industrial Relations Bill will be received from the Dáil this week and will be available for Second Stage on Wednesday, and, if necessary, Thursday of next week. If the Bill receives a Second Reading next week, it is proposed to set it down for Committee Stage on Tuesday, August 13th—for Tuesday, owing to the circumstance that Thursday of that week will be a holyday of obligation. There will be no sitting of the House during the week, August 5th to August 10th, that is, during the week after next. I understand that that arrangement has met with general assent.

The Seanad adjourned at 6.30 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Wednesday, 31st July, 1946.
