I have to announce that Mr. Frederick Hawkins has been declared to be elected to fill the vacancy in the membership of Seanad Eireann caused by the death of Mr. John Thomas Keane. Mr. Hawkins has, accordingly, been elected to fill the vacancy to which the resolution of the Seanad of the 3rd July, 1946, has reference. Senator Hawkins may now take his seat.
Senator Hawkins was introduced to An Cathaoirleach by Senator Quirke and took his seat.
