Vol. 34 No. 10

Death of a Senator.

It is with regret I announce to the House the death, since our last meeting, of Senator Thomas Kennedy.

Prolonged illness prevented the late Senator from giving to the service of the House the gifts which he displayed in his activities in the national movement and in his work for his fellow trade unionists over a very great number of years. Were the circumstances otherwise his contributions to our deliberations would have been of very great value.

With the assent of the House, I shall convey to his widow and family the expression of our deep sympathy.

Senators rose in their places.
