Vol. 35 No. 2

Joint Committee on Standing Orders (Private Business).

I move:—

That in pursuance of Standing Order 56 of the Standing Orders relative to Private Business, a Select Committee be appointed to be joined with a Select Committee of the Dáil to constitute the Joint Committee on Standing Orders and that it be referred to the Committee of Selection to nominate the members of the Select Committee.

I second the motion.

Is it correct to say "In pursuance of Standing Order 56?" Is that the correct number of the Standing Order?

It is Private Business.

It is of the Standing Orders that deal with Private Business.

They are different from the Standing Orders relative to Public Business?

Yes, a completely different set of Orders.

Motion agreed to.
