Seanad Éireann debate -
Wednesday, 12 Jan 1949

Vol. 36 No. 5

Business of Seanad.

Before we proceed with the business, might I say that I have been approached in connection with a motion which was circulated during the week in the name of Senator Baxter? Why does that motion not appear on the Order Paper?

I am responsible for that.

Mr. Hayes

Senator Baxter understood that he would not be able to be present to-day and he therefore asked to have the motion taken off the Order Paper. As it happens, he has been able to be here to-day. Perhaps I should say that we intend to conclude the business on the Order Paper which means that we shall have to sit to-morrow.

Agreed to sit to-morrow.
