I am to inform the House that a communication has been received from the Secretary to the Department of the Taoiseach that:
"(1) The President had, on the advice of the Taoiseach, accepted pursuant to Article 28 9. 3º of the Constitution, the resignation of Dr. Noel C. Browne as member of the Government, and
(2) the Taoiseach, in exercise of the powers conferred on him under Section 4 (1) of the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) Act, 1946, had assigned the Department of Health to himself."
with effect, in each case, from 12th April, 1951.
