Dáil Éireann has made the following Order:
That, subject to the concurrence of the Seanad, the Committee on Procedure and Privileges of the Dáil be joined with the Committee on Procedure and Privileges of the Seanad to consider the matter of a scheme for contributory pensions for members of the Oireachtas under section 6a of the Oireachtas (Allowances to Members) Act, 1938 (inserted by section 5 of the Oireachtas (Allowances to Members) and Ministerial and Parliamentary Offices (Amendment) Act, 1960) and, if the Joint Committee so thinks fit, subject to the proviso that no charge on public funds may be imposed thereby, to make such a scheme."
