It is proposed to take No. 1 on the Order Paper. In view of the statement made last night by a member of the Labour Party that several members of the Party are anxious to take part in the debate on the motion relating to corporal punishment in schools and are unable to be here today, I should like to facilitate them and I suggest that we adjourn at 1 p.m. today so that when the debate on the motion is resumed, they will be in a position to contribute.
