Message from Dáil.

Fuarthas an Teachtaireacht seo a leanas ó Dháil Éireann:

Tá Dáil Éireann tar éis aontú le leasuithe 1 go 8 go huile agus 10 go 14 go huile a rinne Seanad Éireann ar an mBille Srianta Cíosa (Leasú), 1966; tá sí tar éis aontú le leasú 9 leis an leasú seo a leanas lenar mian aontú Sheanad Éireann a fháil:—

After the word "covenant" the words "in writing" be inserted.

Dáil Éireann has agreed to amendments 1 to 8 inclusive and 10 to 14 inclusive made by Seanad Éireann to the Rent Restrictions (Amendment) Bill, 1966; it has agreed to amendment 9 with the following amendment to which the agreement of Seanad Éireann is desired:—

That the Seanad do agree to the amendment made by the Dáil to Seanad amendment No. 9.

This is merely a matter of improvement. Deputy O'Higgins mentioned in the Dáil that the inclusion of "in writing" would clarify the position. Although I think the words are implicit in "covenant" this removes any possible doubt.
