It is proposed to take Nos. 1, 4 and 7 together and to dispense with the usual tea-break so that the debate may be concluded tonight.

We want to be quite clear about this. I do not think it is feasible to conclude the debate tonight, from what we know of the number of speakers. I do not want to have any misunderstanding that the debate can conclude tonight. We are quite prepared to dispense with the tea-break —in the interests of higher education.
