Vol. 66 No. 2

Election of Acting Cathaoirleach.

Cléireach an tSeanaid (Seán Mac Gabhann)

Is mian liom a chur in iúl don Teach de bhun Buan-Ordú 11 go bhfuil an Cathaoirleach agus an Leas-Chathaoirleach as láthair ón tionól seo. Beidh sé riachtanach mar sin comhalta a thoghadh don lá inniú chun na dualgais a chuirtear ar an gCathaoirleach a chomhlíonadh agus an t-údárás a fheidhmiú a thugtar dó leis na Buan-Orduithe.

I have to inform the House pursuant to Standing Order 11 that the Cathaoirleach and Leas-Chathaoirleach are absent from this sitting. It will be necessary therefore to elect for today a member to perform the duties devolving upon and exercise the authority conferred upon the Cathaoirleach by Standing Orders.

I propose that Senator William Sheldon be elected accordingly for today's sitting.

Question put and agreed to.
Do chuaigh an Cathaoirleach Gníomhaitheach i gceannas.
