Vol. 66 No. 16

Order of Business.

It is proposed to take business in the following order: Nos. 1, 2, followed by No. 9 and then Nos. 4, 5 and 6.

On the Order of Business, I would like to ask the Leader of the House how much business it is intended to carry out during the next few days and how much business before the dissolution of the Seanad?

The position is, as Senators are aware, that the reconstruction business in relation to the electrical installation will be put in hands at the start of next week and that is one of the reasons for the adjournment of the Dáil. The contractors require the whole house to do the job and to begin it on a comprehensive basis from the start. Therefore, it is proposed to complete the business on the Order Paper and we expect to get from the Dáil two more Bills, the National Stud Bill and the Land Bonds Bill. It is proposed to complete that business before we adjourn.
