Private Business. - Order of Business.
I wish to put a point of view to the Leader of the House. The business ordered for today is, to a large extent, financial business and I wonder if the Leader of the House and if the Minister who is present consider it appropriate that financial business might be discussed during the period when the present national loan is open? It seems to me that it might have an unnecessary inhibiting effect on Senators in dealing with financial business in those circumstances.
I cannot see any validity in that point.
That is fair enough. I simply wished to put the point to the Leader of the House.
