Vol. 70 No. 1

Business of Seanad.

As the Minister is here could we have some indication as to what it is intended to do with regard to the Employment Agency Bill and with regard to Motion No. 22 in relation to the sittings tomorrow and next week?

Tomorrow, in accordance with the rules which we have laid down, we must merely deal with the motion which has been agreed upon.

I take it that we will sit on Wednesday next then?

I cannot say at the moment if there will be business for next Wednesday.

The Employment Agency Bill, which was not disposed of, and Motion No. 22.

The Employment Agency Bill will probably not take more than 20 minutes or so.

I should imagine that the Employment Period Order might take a little bit longer.

We will do it all tonight.

I am simply suggesting that we should meet on Wednesday next. The Minister for Labour will be dealing with both items.

The question of when we will meet again will possibly arise when we are adjourning tomorrow afternoon.

Yes. It can come up tomorrow. I was hoping we might get an indication this evening.

I am not in a position to give any definite indication.

At any rate we will not be dealing with the Employment Agency Bill tomorrow.

I will have to be in the Dáil tomorrow. It is already arranged.

Of course, we have Motion No. 18 for tomorrow.

The Seanad adjourned at 10.20 p.m. until 10.30 a.m. on Thursday, 6th May, 1971.
