Vol. 72 No. 16

Business of Seanad.

A Chathaoirleach, with your permission, before we adjourn I should like to refer to the position regarding tomorrow. The notice sent out by the Cathaoirleach indicated that it was proposed to take a motion tomorrow and I had arranged with the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries to take No. 24 but the proposer of the motion, Senator Quinlan, is detained unexpectedly and is unable to be present and has asked that the motion be postponed. The other Members who have an interest in the motion have no desire to go ahead with it in his absence and, therefore, unless the House insists, it is not proposed to take the motion tomorrow.

Business suspended at 6.05 p.m. and resumed at 7.30 p.m.
