Vol. 89 No. 6

Order of Business.

It is proposed to take Nos. 1, 2 and 3 in that order.

I should like to ask the Leader of the House about motion No. 4, on Northern Ireland. I believe that it is intended to sit tomorrow and I hope the Leader of the House can give us an assurance that we will take that motion at 10.30 a.m.

If the Northern Ireland motion is the only one being discussed tomorrow there is no reason why the time limit of three hours could not be extended. Perhaps it has already been decided to sit for four hours, but if we sit at 10.30 a.m. there is no reason why there should be any guillotine at all on this motion. At the most it could run to five hours.

I suggest that it would be more appropriate to discuss that in the morning. The motion will be taken first thing tomorrow morning and the matter of changing the normal number of hours for the motion can then be raised.

Order of Business agreed.
