Vol. 96 No. 15

Message from People's Assembly of Egypt.

I have received a letter from the Speaker of the People's Assembly of Egypt which I should like to read to the House.

Cairo, November 29, 1981.

Dear Mr. Chairman:

I have received with deep appreciation and gratitude the record of the sitting held by your respected House on October 8, 1981 part of which was devoted to the commemoration of late President Mohammad Anwar Sadat.

A translation of this part of the record was read in the sitting held by our Assembly on November 21, 1981 and the members were deeply impressed by your brotherly noble sympathy at the loss of the martyr of peace and of humanity.

After listening to it, the Assembly adopted a resolution of sincere thanks and appreciation to your highly esteemed House for your feelings and sympathy at our great loss.

I have been authorised by the People's Assembly of Egypt to convey to you and to every member of your Parliament the true thanks of all the Egyptian People and of mine for your noble feelings. Such feelings shall remain the genuine expression of those relations of close friendship and cooperation binding our two assemblies and our two peoples for the purpose of achieving our joint sublime goals.

I have the honour to enclose the record of the sitting no. 4 held on November 21, 1981 and which contains the above-mentioned events.

Will you kindly accept my highest regards.

Yours Sincerely,

Dr. Soufy Abou Taleb

The Speaker.
