Seanad Éireann debate -
Wednesday, 22 Jun 1983

Vol. 101 No. 2

Business of Seanad.

It is proposed to adjourn until 2.30 p.m. next Wednesday. For the benefit of the Senators I would like to indicate what is likely to be the business on that day. It is proposed to take the various motions in regard to the establishment of committees. It might be convenient, if we agreed, that we would have a single debate on all of these motions, with, of course, separate decisions. We will be taking the Criminal Justice (Community Service) Bill, which was not reached today. The Dáil is expected to pass today the Local Government (Financial Provisions) (No. 2) Bill, which is concerned with local charges, and it is expected to pass the Postal and Telecommunications Services Bill tomorrow. In accordance with an undertaking I gave last week, I hope we will be able to take next week the Government motion on Developments in the European Communities.

The Seanad adjourned at 7.20 p.m. until 2.30 p.m. on Wednesday, 29 June 1983.
