It is proposed to take items Nos. 1 and 2. Item No. 1 is to give formal effect to the informal agreement already made between the various groups in the house that no speech on item No. 2 will exceed 30 minutes. This is necessary if all the Senators who have given notice of their intention to speak in this important debate are to be accommodated between today and tomorrow. Towards that purpose also it is proposed to sit without interruption and to sit late. My suggestion for today is that no new speaker be called after 10 p.m.
