Seanad Éireann debate -
Wednesday, 5 Feb 1986

Vol. 111 No. 3

Business of Seanad.

I have notice from Senator Michael Lynch, that on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education to sanction the provision of a new national school planned for Moylagh, Oldcastle, to replace the existing school at Gortloney, Co. Meath.

I also received notice from Senator John Connor of the following matter:

The proposed closure by the Minister for Health of the St. Patrick's Psychiatric Hospital, Castlerea, Co. Roscommon.

I also received notice from Senator Jack Fitzsimons of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Environment to ensure that in the reconstruction housing grant scheme, in bona fide situations, nothing in the scheme will preclude applicants from carrying out the works, or parts of the works themselves, without the services or full services of a building contractor.

I regard the matters as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected Senator Lynch's motion for today's Adjournment and it will be taken from 8 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. Senators Connor and Fitzsimons may give notice for another day of the matters they wish to raise.
