Vol. 117 No. 7

Business of Seanad.

An Leas-Chathaoirleach

Do we proceed to the Companies (No. 2) Bill, 1987, now?

No. We took all day yesterday to deal with two sections of this Bill. We have gone through 18 sections today in a very short time. Although the Minister for Industry and Commerce is very anxious to come in this evening we decided around lunch time that this Bill would not finish before 4 p.m. Therefore, to be fair to the Opposition — some of whom have left the House — I am afraid we cannot go ahead with the Companies (No. 2) Bill, 1987, today. It will be taken Wednesday next from 2.30 p.m. to 6.30 p.m.

An Leas-Chathaoirleach

Many thanks. When is it proposed that the House will sit again?

It is proposed that we sit on Wednesday, 28 October 1987 at 2.30 p.m.
