Vol. 117 No. 11

Business of Seanad.

An Leas-Chathaoirleach

I have notice from Senator Nuala Fennell that, on the Motion for the Adjournment of the House today, she proposes to raise the following matter:

The severe underfunding of the Council for the Status of Women which represents 250,000 women and 55 affiliated organisations.

I also received notice from Senator Donie Cassidy of the following matter:

The need for the Government to restore Lough Sheelin Lake to its former pollution free state.

I also received notice from Senator John Connor of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health to reveal his attitude to the proposal of the Western Health Board to confirm the size of Roscommon County Hospital at 100 acute surgical-medical beds.

I regard the matters raised by Senators Fennell, Cassidy and Connor as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected Senator Fennell's motion and it will be taken from 8 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. or earlier if the business ordered is concluded. Senators Cassidy and Connor may give notice for another day of the matters they wish to raise.
