Vol. 118 No. 10

Business of Seanad.

I have notice from Senator Paul Bradford that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Agriculture and Food to expedite the processing of applications by farmers throughout the north Cork region for inclusion in the disadvantaged areas scheme.

I also received notice from Senator Philip Hogan of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Marine to take effective action to conserve and protect the fishing stocks of our inland waters in view of the illegal destruction of those stocks.

I regard the matters raised by Senators Bradford and Hogan as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected Senator Bradford's motion and it will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senator Hogan may give notice for another day of the matter he wishes to raise.
