Vol. 120 No. 15

Business of Seanad.

An Leas-Chathaoirleach

I have notice from Senator John A. Murphy that, on the Motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Foreign Affairs to clarify the Government's attitude to the Mawhinney proposals on integrated education in Northern Ireland.

I have received notice from Senator Philip Hogan of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education to retain the school transport service to Tullaroan national school, County Kilkenny, as operated for the school year 1987-88.

I have also received notice from Senator Katharine Bulbulia of the following matter:

In view of the several changes in the international patent scene, the need for the Minister for Industry and Commerce to indicate how this will affect the workings of the Patents Office.

I also received notice from Senator Shane Ross of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Industry and Commerce to block the bid for Irish Distillers.

I regard the matters raised by Senators Murphy, Hogan, Bulbulia and Ross as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected Senator Murphy's motion and it will be taken at the conclusion of business this evening. Senators Hogan, Bulbulia and Ross may give notice for tomorrow of the matters they wish to raise.
