Vol. 124 No. 4

Business of Seanad.

I have notice from Senator Pat Upton that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The lack of adequate facilities for the assessment of teenage girls with conduct disorders who have been before the courts.

Tá fógra agam ón Seanadóir Pól Ó Foighil:

A cheistiú faoin chumhacht atá ag Oifig na nOibreacha Poiblí réimsí móra talún príomháideach timpeall na tíre uilig ach i gConamara go speisialta a ainmniú mar Cheantar Spéise Eolaíochta (Areas of Scientific Interest nó A.S.I.'s) gan stadas reachtúil nó dlíthúil Eorpach nó náisiúnta a bheith ag Oifig na nOibreacha Poiblí é seo a dhéanamh.

I also received notice from Senator John A. Murphy of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Finance to reverse the decision to withdraw field staff in the Ordnance Survey service.

I also received notice from Senator Mary Jackman of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education to give a specific date as to when contractors will be appointed for the building of an extension to Lisnagry national school, Richill, County Limerick, when work will commence and an approximate date for completion of same.

I regard the matters raised by Senators Upton, Ó Foighil, Murphy and Jackman as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected the matter raised by Senator Upton and it will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senators Ó Foighil, Murphy and Jackman may give notice on another day of the matters they wish to raise.
