Vol. 130 No. 11

Business of Seanad.

I have notice from Senator O'Donovan that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Government to provide additional Custom and Excise officials and gardaí to curb and prevent the trafficking of large quantities of drugs off our south west coast.

I also received notice from Senator Ross of the following matter:

The urgent need for improved sewerage treatment in Greystones, County Wicklow.

I also received notice from Senator Hederman of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Finance to proceed with the cycleway around St. Stephen's Green as prepared by Dublin Corporation in 1980 and as discussed with the Office of Public Works at a meeting on 21 April 1983.

I regard the matters raised by Senators O'Donovan, Ross and Hederman as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected Senator O'Donovan's matter and it will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senators Ross and Hederman may give notice another day of the matters they wish to raise.
