I have notice from Senator Ross that on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today he proposes to raise the following matter:
The need for the Minister for Health to provide adequate funding for the Adelaide Hospital; and to ensure that the ethos of the Adelaide Hospital is maintained in the proposed new hospital at Tallaght.
I also received notice from Senator Upton of the following matter:
The need for the Minister for the Environment to take steps to ensure that the Dublin County Council will be in a position to provide the same level of maintenance and repair to household water supply pipes as is provided by the Dublin Corporation and the Dún Laoghaire Corporation.
I regard the matter raised by Senator Ross as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment and it will be taken at the conclusion of business.
I regret that I have had to rule the matter raised by Senator Upton as not suitable for discussion on the Adjournment on the grounds of lack of ministerial responsibility.
