Seanad Éireann debate -
Wednesday, 10 Jun 1992

Vol. 133 No. 4

Business of Seanad.

I have notice from Senator Neville that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education to ensure that work commences in 1992 on the construction of the new Community College at Rathkeale, County Limerick.

I also received notice from Senator Costello of the following matters:

1. The need for the Minister for Education to ensure that the time scale for the refurbishment of the Central Model School, Marlborough Street, is adhered to.

2. The need for the Minister for Education to ensure that a trained remedial teacher is appointed to North Brunswick Street Primary School, Dublin 7, to cater for the substantial number of students who require remedial education.

I regard the matters raised by Senators Neville and Costello as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected Senator Neville's matter and Senator Costello's matter regarding the Central Model School, Marlborough Street and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senator Costello may give notice on another day of the other matter he wishes to raise.
