Seanad Éireann debate -
Thursday, 1 Apr 1993

Vol. 135 No. 12

Business of Seanad.

I have notice from Senator O'Toole that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education to establish on an experimental or pilot basis a job sharing scheme for teachers.

I also received notice from Senator Daly of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Enterprise and Employment to outline the number of EC programmes where funding is available for job creation and other employment-related schemes, and if he has examined the present situation with a view to getting the maximum financial draw down and the plans he has to make the programmes more widely available throughout local communities.

I also received notice from Senator Burke of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health to outline if a kidney dialysis machine will be provided at Castlebar General Hospital.

I regard the matters raised by Senators O'Toole, Daly and Burke as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected Senators O'Toole's and Daly's matters and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senator Burke may give notice on another day of the matter he wishes to raise.
