Seanad Éireann debate -

Vol. 137 No. 12

Business of Seanad.

I have notice from Senator Belton that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Finance to provide funding to Longford County Council for road improvements at Corlea Visitor Centre, County Longford, as the future of this development will be in jeopardy due to the unsuitability of approach routes.

I have also received notice from Senator Fahey of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Social Welfare to change the regulations pertaining to the payment of PRSI contributions by farmers who are over 57 and who are not entitled to claim a contributory old age pension because they do not have ten years contributions.

I regard the matters raised by Senators Belton and Fahey as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment and they will be taken at the conclusion of business.
