I have notice from Senator Taylor-Quinn that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, she proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications to outline the social and economic implications that will arise from the Government's decision to change the transatlantic status of Shannon airport.

I have also received notice from Senator Burke of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Environment to clarify when the memorandum regarding conditions for members of local authorities will be implemented.

I have also received notice from Senator Neville of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry to outline the progress to date in implementing the recommendations of the Sixth Joint Committee on Commercial State-Sponsored Bodies (5th Report) on Bord na gCon.

I have also received notice from Senator Belton of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for justice to refurbish Longford Court House in accordance with the demand from members of Longford County Council and the general public.

I have also received notice from Senator Ross of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Foreign Affairs to allocate more funding to Co-operation North.

I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected Senators Taylor-Quinn's and Burke's matters and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. The other Senators may give notice on another day of the matters they wish to raise.
