Vol. 141 No. 13

Death of Former Member. - Business of Seanad.

I have notice from Senator Fahey that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health to outline in detail the time schedule for the development of facilities which have been approved at University College Hospital, Galway, and the amount of money allocated to the project in 1995.

I have also received notice from Senator Neville of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry to include the submission by West Limerick Resources under Leader Two funding for 1995-99.

I have also received notice from Senator Ross of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education to ensure that the examination papers for the junior certificate are printed in this country.

I have also received notice from Senator Mooney of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education to extend public liability insurance for pupils attending Carrick-on-Shannon community school in order that school buses may dispatch and pick up students in the car park of the sports complex adjoining the community school and so resolve a disagreement between CIE and the Summerhill Residents Association.

I have also received notice from Senator Enright of the following matter:

The proposal to cease sittings of the Circuit Court in Birr, County Offaly.

I regard the matters raised as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected Senator Fahey's and Senator Neville's matters and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. The other Senators may give notice on another day of the matters they wish to raise.
